about

Some might call it catchy. Others annoyingly catchy. Then there are those who think catchy is a way too simple description of a song, who think that, even if it, to the slightest extent, would be acceptable to make such an indolent and colloquial labelling - this song definitely does not meet none of the 23 criteria, and would argue that since the origin of the concept "catchy" in 1831, there have been only three times in music history where it has been more wrongly used. This song is for those chaps.

lyrics

You know this kind of men who love the sound of their own voice
Those self-appointed thinkers who can't help but poke their nose
They never care about what you think. But they'll correct you when you're wrong
Then they'll teach you something valuable, that you did know all along

All I hear
But But But But But But
But But But But But But
But then again

Dangling conversations always seem to make their day
There's no small talk that's too small to turn into a debate
Instead of saving their own breath
They give a lecture to provoke
While busy making another point
They interrupt you til you choke

All I hear
But But But But But But
But But But But But But
But then again

They just can't refrain
From the urge to explain
No, they just can't refrain
From speaking their brains
Their busy brain

If you ask them the simplest question there's no straight answer to find
They don't give you a suggestion no they're making up you mind
They still have room for some last words, when there is nothing left to say
But that is strictly for the birds, 'cause no one's listening anyway

All I hear
But But But But But But
But But But But But But

But then again
They just can't refrain
From the urge to explain
No, they just can't refrain
From speaking their brain

No, they just can't refrain
From the urge to explain
But what do they really attain
But being seen as inane

But then again
But then again
But then again
But then again

Now, dummy up!
